BioThanks to my grandmother who did all types of needlework and my mom who made beautiful clothes not only for me but also for my dolls, I had a needle and thread in my hand as soon as I was old enough to grasp them without risk of serious bodily harm. From the first stamped cross stitch sampler that I sewed to my bathrobe while watching Saturday morning cartoons, I was hooked. As I pursued my Interior Design degree at Purdue University, it was always the most purely art based requirements and electives that I truly enjoyed. Had I known then what I know now, having worked in Interior Design and more specifically, Kitchen and Bath Design, I might have changed my major to Fine Art. But I believe that all of my experience to date has brought me to this moment. Without any single part of it, I might not be so certain that this is where I am supposed to be. I grew up in Lafayette, Indiana, the sister city to Purdue’s West Lafayette. I live here today with my wonderful and supportive husband. Our daughter is in Indianapolis pursuing a degree in Art Education form the Herron School of Art and Design. Since my recent commitment to a full time art career, my resume is as follows: Gallery PlacementSuzie Gibbs Framing and Art Gallery, Lafayette, IndianaSuzie Gibbs, OwnerFreelance DesignPraise Banners, Nashville TennesseeSusan Trotman, Director of Product DevelopmentPrivate and Public CommissionsBret and Kathy Cowans, West Lafayette, IndianaMichael and Colleen Cooper, Lafayette, IndianaSusie Gibbs, Lafayette, IndianaRichard and Klaska Wilson, Indianapolis, IndianaMarie Canine Cancer Center, Crawfordsville Indiana
